Hello! Below you will find all of the work completed for the design portion of the Retirement Academy project. Special thank you to their director for choosing Garris GFX to complete this project. Please scroll to explore.
Circular Logo & Wilmington, NC Imagery
The Retirement Academy is a non-profit organization based in Wilmington, NC, and wanted to use imagery that was instantly recognizable to this community. Pairing it with a deep navy background gives great contrast for the circular version of their logo to shine.
This image depicting the logo for Retirement Academy is licensed properly and can serve as a great backdrop for a good amount of their branding.
Business Cards
Every non-profit needs a good business card design to bring attention to their cause. This business card leverages their punchy color system with respectable and strong typography. Typographical hierarchy is also represented (the styling of the text elements); this will be reused in other designs for the brand.
This image showcases a two-sided business card design featuring the horizontal application of the Retirement Academy logo.
Sponsorship Brochure
The Retirement Academy is primarily sponsorship based. Their director needed a complete set of marketing materials they can use to get their points across at important meetings fluently and with style. A grid system was created to streamline the originally (very) dense information. Some careful trimming and reorganizing was necessary, but the product was all the better for it. Their sponsorship packages fit nicely within the inside panels. Not shown: the custom cover design. Don't worry, it's at the end.
This image showcases the sponsorship brochure design set against the bright gold the brand uses to grab attention.
Retirement Fair Program & Banner
With the Retirement Fair on the horizon, the director requested a preliminary look at what the program, signage, and banners might be like. This portion of the project is TBA, so keep an eye out for these designs and their final versions.
This image features mock-ups representing simple impressions of possible printed materials and signage the Retirement Academy can use for their upcoming events.
Brand Guidelines
One of the important processes of creating branding from scratch is setting up the rules. These can include color systems, typography, brand imagery, logo variations, & sizing, etc. These rules live in what is called the "Brand Guidelines." In reality, this document lives on my computer as a file that can be referenced when creating new designs that require the Retirement Academy touch.
The booklet above represents the manual for all the design choices set forth under the Retirement Academy umbrella.
Tagline with Brand Imagery & the Logo Mark
Using licensed imagery, the established color system (background & gradients), as well as the brand's inverted logo mark, this image can serve for banners, hero spots, covers (like the sponsorship brochure), & more!
This image features several of the most critical assets the Retirement Academy uses in its branding, including: logo, typography, colors, & imagery.
